Why Hypnosis for Weight Loss is a Powerful Tool

Make Time to Take Stock
Typically now is the time of year when we start to take stock, think about the goals we have achieved to date, what we still need to make progress on and exactly how we want the year ahead to be.
Break Your Goal Down
The goal setting process is so important because it gives us targets to work towards so we can measure our progress along the way. We all need to be held accountable to someone or something so we can be as effective and productive as we want to be and this is where Hypnotherapy really takes things to a whole new level of success. With any goal, big or small, we need to break it down into small achievable tasks. Doing this reduces the feeling of overwhelm and allows us to feel that things are more manageable so that we can feel more in control. Of course, working out how we can delegate the tasks that we are not so good at or don’t want to do (assuming we have that luxury) is equally as important. There is nothing worse than losing momentum and falling behind with a project deadline because we feel bored and unmotivated to take the necessary action. So be smart, recognise your strengths and weaknesses and aim to stay in your sweet spot because this is where you will excel, do your best work and feel the happiest.
Celebrate the Little Wins
Before you even think about setting new goals for the year ahead, it is essential that you make time to take stock and celebrate the little wins that you have had throughout the year, as well as the big ones! In fact, you should have been doing this throughout the year and set yourself little rewards along the way to help keep you focused, motivated and enjoying working towards your goals. Whilst High Achievers are extremely driven, determined and motivated, even they can’t work in superhuman mode for too long without taking some time out to take stock and celebrate how far they have come. It is essential to their health and wellbeing to look after their mind and body so they have a healthy business.
Set Goals for Your Health and Wellbeing
Whilst setting goals for your business is important, it is equally so for your health and wellbeing if you are to be the best you can be and have a healthy mind, body and business. High Achievers knows this which is why they understand that making time in their busy schedules to be organised and plan ahead regarding what they eat and drink is essential and needs to be done on a daily/weekly basis. Fail to plan and you essentially plan to fail! Furthermore if you don’t put the best, healthiest food and drink into your body then how can you possibly expect to enhance your performance and maximise your success. High Achievers have big visions and missions so they recognise the importance of having the right fuel to create the energy they need to achieve their goals.
Avoid the High Achiever Slippery Slope
One of the main issues I see with my High Achieving Clients is that they are often living on a diet filled with coffee, sugar and junk food to get them through the day. With only 24 hours in a day, they are trying to be superhuman to cope and this sort of stress starts to take its toll on their health if they continue to operate in this mode over a period of time.
It can be a gradual process whereby they gradually start to eat more junk and processed food, takeaways and survive on coffee and other sugary drinks (including alcohol) and snacks to help them keep up with their workload as well as personal commitments and family life. High Achievers like to be as productive as possible, so they usually try to cram as much as possible into a 24 hour day, sometimes even sleeping less to do so. With such unrealistic expectations and pressures that they put on themselves, it is no wonder that this then becomes a vicious cycle because they don’t make the time to take care of themselves simply because they are consumed by the vision for their business and the goals they need to achieve.
The Link between Stress and the 21st Century
Bearing in mind that stress is the number one cause of illness and disease in the 21st Century, what you eat, drink and how physically active you are, are only a few of the ways that stress can damage your mind, body and business. It is no wonder then that this vicious cycle leads to weight gain, becoming physically unfit and unhealthy, poor energy levels and quality of sleep – exactly the opposite of what High Achievers need to be, to be able to thrive and be the best they can be. Oh and don’t be fooled, all you slim High Achievers out there who are living this way and don’t currently have a weight problem aren’t necessarily the healthiest either – rest assured this unhealthy way of being will eventually catch up with you too!
Ignore the Signs at Your Peril
Ignoring the signs that your mind and body gives you is disastrous because eventually it will shut you down and then you won’t be able to do anything which is even more frustrating! Burnout is no party, believe me and that is nothing compared to ending up with some other more serious auto-immune illness or disease. So thinking about what you eat, drink and the amount of sleep that you realistically need to function optimally on a daily basis is the key to maximising your performance, wellbeing and success. It is also the way to work smarter not harder and be even more effective and productive in all areas of your life.
Hypnosis for Weight Loss and Mind/Body Fitness
When I work with my High Achieving Clients, we use Hypnosis to get them in shape because it is an extremely powerful tool and one that they simply cannot afford not to use. Hypnosis is a safe and reliable therapeutic technique which is centuries old. It is true that there are many fears and misunderstandings about the use of hypnosis and Hypnotherapy but they are completely undeserved and High Achievers know that. They are the bravehearts who take a risk on something that may not yet be such common knowledge and widely accepted in the world because that is what they do and why they are so successful. Then eventually when everyone else catches up and gets on the band wagon…it is the best thing since sliced bread!
Hypnotherapy and Weight Loss
What actually happens when we go into hypnosis is actually very natural and normal. In fact, we all go in and out of hypnosis on a daily basis – just before we go to sleep and wake up, when we are driving, watching television, reading a book etc. When hypnosis is used on its own, it does nothing more than create a calm, relaxed state of mind at best, the really important part is the therapy which takes place whilst you are in the hypnotic state, known as Hypnotherapy which gets the results. When hypnosis and Hypnotherapy are used together, you can create positive, desired change to improve your life for the better. So hypnosis is perfect for weight loss, weight management and in some cases for those who struggle to put weight on weight gain (and yes this is an equally distressing problem for many people too).
Self-Hypnosis Helps you Work Smarter Not Harder
Hypnosis is such a powerful tool that my High Achieving Clients usually continue to use self-hypnosis on a daily basis going forward long after we have finished working together. It is an excellent way to manage stress, keep a positive, focused mind-set and keep boosting your confidence levels. It is the way to work smarter not harder and find the way to a richer life.
